Literacy Project #1:

Name: Encyclopedia Project

Description: The Tipton Rotary Club donated $200 to the Tipton Public
Library encyclopedia drive.  Several civic organizations were asked to
donate toward the project, since a new set costs $900.  Tipton's Rotary
Club was the second highest donor and the Library was able to purchase a
2006 set of World Books to be used in the Library.

Literacy Project #2:

Name: The Dictionary Project

Description: About 100 paperback dictionaries are given to all 4th grade students in the Tipton and Bennett elementary schools.

Literacy Project #3:

Name: Summer Reading Program Support

Description: Tipton's Rotary club provided funding for the Tipton Public Library's summer reading program.  The club donated $650 so the Library was able to provide a new paperback book to each of the 151 kids (ages 3rd - 12th grades) that finished the Summer Reading program goal!
