Literacy Project #1:

Name: Rotary Reads

Description: Each spring and fall, North Scott Rotary Club members are welcomed into classrooms where 2-3 members read to students for a half hour every week for about 10 weeks. Three volunteers contribute about 30 hours.

Literacy Project #2:

Name: The Dictionary Project

Description: The North Scott Rotary Club gave 240 dictionaries, each with a dedication sticker, to 4th grade students in North Scott and Heritage Christian Schools.

Literacy Project #3:

Name: Speaker Book Gift

Description: A book is given to the Scott County Library in honor of each of our weekly program speakers. The dedication page includes a 2” Rotary wheel sticker.

Literacy Project #4:

Name: Library Donation

Description: Our club contributed $5,000 to the capital campaign for a new Scott County Library Headquarters.

Literacy Project #5:

Name: Teen Reading

Description: Our club donated $500 for the North Scott Summer Teen Reading Initiative.
