Donors support the Raising Readers mission with tax deductible financial contributions.

Whoever you are – a parent, grandparent or great-grandparent, aunt or uncle, neighbor or community citizen, employer, or a child with a big heart – you can be a partner in seeing that every young child has plenty of good books and caring adults to read them!

DONATE to Raising Readers

Raising Readers Organization Fund

One way you can help is to contribute to the Raising Readers Organization Fund. Your gift will be used to carry out all the important Raising Reader programs. These programs build supportive relationships with families, educate parents and caregivers, and give good quality, age-appropriate books to children.

All donations to Raising Readers are tax-deductible. Raising Readers is a non-profit organization registered in Iowa and exempt from federal income tax under Section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Raising Readers Endowment Fund

Another special option is to direct your donation to the Raising Readers Endowment Fund. This option allows taxpayers to take their normal state and federal charitable income tax deductions for the gift, PLUS they are eligible for an additional Iowa tax credit equal to 20% of the gift. Each year the legislature authorizes an amount of tax credits available on a first come/first served basis. For more information about this Endowment Fund and the Community Foundation of Greater Story County, please visit the CFGSC website at: www.storycountyfoundation.org. Each year 5% of the endowment fund balance may be distributed to Raising Readers, while the remainder stays in the fund to continue to grow.

To donate to either the organization fund or the endowment fund, please use this Form.
